Surah Mulk Benefits – Surat Al-Mulk (which means ‘Sovereignty’) is the 67th chapter (Surah) of the Qur’an. Surah Al-Mulk has 30 verses (Ayat). Surah Al-Mulk is a Meccan Sura, a Surah revealed to the Prophet Muhammad in Mecca. Like any other Surah in the Qur’an, Surah Al-Mulk is very important. There are many virtues to recite this surah.

Surah Mulk Benefits and The virtues of reciting it

Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported:
I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say, “There is a surah in the Qur’an that contains thirty Ayat who continued to intercede for a man until his sins are forgiven: This blessing is” Blessed is he whose hand is dominion. ‘(Surat al-Mulk 67). “[At-Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud]

Therefore, as we can see in the above Hadith, Surah Al-Mulk intercedes for his reciter (the person who recites it often) on the Day of Judgment until his reciter is forgiven by Allah (SWT).

Yahya told me from Ibn Shihab’s Malik that Humayd ibn Abd ar-Rahman ibn Awf had told him that Surah al-Ikhlas (Surah 112) was equal to one-third of the Qur’an and that Surat al-Mulk (Surah 67) pleaded for his owner. [Muwatta Malik]

Ibn ‘Abbas recounts: “One of the Companions of the Prophet (Prophet) pitched a tent on a tomb without knowing it was a grave and when he realized that it was a person’s grave, he recited Al-Mulk Surah until it was finished, then he went to the Prophet and said: ‘O Messenger of Allah (Indeed) [Indeed] I pitched my tent without realizing that was on a grave, so when I realized that there was a person, I recited Al-Mulk until it was finished, so the Prophet (Prophet) said, “He (Surat Al-Mulk) is a prevention, it’s a salvation delivered from the punishment of the grave. “” [Tirmidhi]

Based on the Hadith above, Surah Al-Mulk is also a prevention and the salvation of the punishment of the grave.

The reading of Surat al-Mulk protects a Muslim from the trials of the grave, but how often should it be read? Once a day or more? What we mean is that a person should read it every night, act in accordance with the decisions contained therein and believe the information mentioned therein.

In the Book of Allah, it is a surah that anyone who recites every night has done very well.

Reported by al-Nasaa’i, 6/179; classified as Hasan by al-Albaani in Sahih al-Targheeb Wa’l-Tarheeb, 1475.

The scholars of the Standing Committee said: On this basis, there is the hope that anyone who believes in this Surah and reads it regularly, seeking the pleasure of Allah, learning the lessons it contains and acting according to the decisions that he contains, he will intercede for him [in the hereafter]. Surah al-Mulk protects one of the torments of the grave

The reading of Surat al-Mulk protects a Muslim from the trials of the grave, but how often should it be read? Once a day or more?

It was reported from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “A Quran sura containing thirty verses will intercede for a man to be forgiven.” This is Soorah Tabaarak Alathi bi Yadihi’l-Mulk [that is, Soorat al-Mulk]. ”

Reported by al-Tirmidhi, 2891; Abu Dawood, 1400; Ibn Maajah, 3786.

Al-Tirmidhi said it is a hadeeth, Hasan. It was classified as authentic by Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah in Majmoo ‘al-Fataawa, 22/277, and by Shaykh al-Albaani in Sahih Ibn Maajah, 3053.
